Chrome Extension Privacy Policy
Last updated August 17, 2026
This policy covers the MailFeller Emails Finder extension for Chrome. The MailFeller website and service are covered by the main Privacy Policy.
What the Extension DoesThe extension has one purpose: helping a MailFeller user find the contact emails of a business website they are visiting. It works in three ways.
Current Page reads the tab that is open and lists the emails and Social Profiles published on it. This runs entirely inside your browser. The page and its text are not sent anywhere.
To show the number of emails on the extension icon, that reading is done when a page finishes loading, without waiting for you to open the popup. It happens only while the browser is connected to a MailFeller account, only on http and https pages, and it stays local: the extension keeps the emails it found for that tab, and nothing about the page leaves your browser.
Verify All sends the emails found on that page to MailFeller, which checks them against their mail servers and returns whether each one is deliverable. It happens only when you press the button and spends one Emails Verifier credit per email.
Whole Site sends the domain name of the current tab, for example example.com, to MailFeller, which crawls that website and verifies the emails it finds. It starts only on an explicit click and spends one Emails Finder credit from your account.
What Is Sent to MailFeller- The domain name of a site you chose to look up.
- The emails you chose to verify.
- The connection token that identifies your MailFeller account.
The extension does not send page content, browsing history, the addresses of pages you did not look up, form data, keystrokes, or any device identifier.
A lookup or a verification is recorded the same way as one started from the dashboard, so that the credit can be charged and the result shown to you. Verified emails are cached for 60 days, exactly as for the dashboard tool, so that repeating a check does not cost you twice.
What Is Stored in Your Browser- The connection token issued when you connected this browser.
- Your account email, plan and last known credit balance, so the popup can show them without a request.
- The results of recent Whole Site scans (up to 7 days) and email verifications (up to 30 days), so that returning to a site does not repeat work you already paid for.
- The emails read from an open tab, until that tab is closed or reloaded.
Disconnecting the browser in the extension settings deletes all of it and revokes the token on our side.
What We Do Not Do- We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
- The extension contains no advertising, analytics or tracking libraries.
- It loads and executes no remote code. Everything it runs ships inside the package.
- Your data is not used for any purpose other than the features described above.
- activeTab and scripting: read the page to list the emails published on it, inside your browser.
- Access to all websites: read pages to count the emails on them for the number on the extension icon. It is used for nothing else. No page content, address or browsing history is sent anywhere, and pages are not read at all while the browser is not connected to an account.
- storage: keep the items listed above.
- The only server the extension contacts is https://mailfeller.io.
